The Denver Broncos did not make a trade before the NFL's trade deadline.

I was out at Broncos practice today and talked to Sean Payton 45 minutes after the trade deadline passed and the Broncos did not make a move.

And he explained why they did not make a move.

He said he and George Payton talked every single day leading up to this about potential moves.

And from what I've heard, the Broncos did explore making a couple of different moves,

but they did not make a move because at the end of the day, he said that's just how it turned out.

They didn't make a move.

The value just wasn't there for the players that they were potentially looking into.

Despite the rest of the NFL having a very busy trade deadline.

Some of the biggest trades and the most trades we've seen in nearly a couple of decades throughout the NFL.

And one spot that was very hot for the Broncos in terms of rumors was the receiver position.

We have reports that the Broncos reached out to the Dolphins about Jalen Waddle,

but the price tag was just too high. We know that the Dolphins were looking for at least a first

round pick, if not even more for that, and the Broncos were not willing to go that far. Sean

Peyton was specifically asked about the receiver position, and he said we really like our young talent and where we're going with that group.

Bo Nix talked about it and said, we really like what we're doing.

And we want to continue that wave, riding that wave moving forward.

So the Broncos are seven and two right now.

And they're going to take their seven and two team forward to the playoffs with no
