The race is on and Aston Martin is the latest team to launch its 22 car, and it was the genuine

article ahead of its shakedown at Silverstone on Friday.

So what did we learn from the most comprehensive new car revealed yet?

And is the Aston Martin AMR 22 good enough to move the team up the grid?

I'm Edsture and joining me to answer those questions and many more are Scott Mitchell and Gary Anderson.

Well, Scott, we'll start off with you. A real car, real people that we

could talk to on top of the launch broadcast. How much did you enjoy this one? Quite a lot,

actually. It was, it felt like an old school, an old school car launch. Like, obviously,

made for the digital age, but there was lots about it that was just,

it was just good. We got to speak to, got to speak to the drivers. You heard a bit from,

heard a bit from the guy who actually oversaw the creation of the car in Andy Green. We obviously

had Lawrence Stroll there briefly.

Bit odd to have car reveal with no team principal present

because Aston Martin's new team boss Mike Crack hasn't started yet.

So he wasn't there.

But covers came off, real car.

Lots of interesting bits for us to to talk about not just delivery

launch it's been shaken down by the time people are listening to this the car might actually be

close to being on track depending on when they listened so yeah just just quite proper and i'm actually

very pleased to be on a podcast where gary actually has a real car to talk about and not the Red Bull one. I expect Gary is as well and we should say that the car that was in the launch video, that is the actual car that will be running at Silverstone. So that's a real runner or at least it will be by the time they need to get out of the garage. It's probably a few bits and pieces that still need doing.
