Summary

In this episode, Dr. Carter takes you inside the mind of a therapist, discussing the patterns he would identify in his patients.  He focuses on 4 universal truths (and more) that we each need to come to terms with, then highlights the healthy alternatives.  Then he focuses on the mind of a narcissist, describing how they tend to respond when confronted with the need for growth and change.  Narcissists have multiple barriers to overcome if they are going to mature, and most are so entrenched in their dysfunctions that they sabotage the process altogether.  It's important for you to understand how this works so you will not be thrown off course in your own maturation goals.
