It's good to be with you, Jim. And we have such an exciting guest lined up today, quite possibly the most famous nun in cinema, actually.

But I think for most people of maybe your generation and people born in the last 30 years,

yes, definitely the most famous nun in cinema history.

Of course, we are talking about Whoopi Goldberg.

We are so happy to have her today.

We are.

And Whoopi Goldberg is one of these guests who really does not need an introduction,

but we're going to do it anyways because she is a multi-award-winning actress, one of only 20 entertainers who has achieved egot status.

That is Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony, for those not in the know.

Mm-hmm, Very versatile performer.

Whoopi got her start in the 1985 film, The Color Purple,

and then went on to become the second African-American woman to win an Oscar

for best supporting actress for her role in Ghost.

Her role in Sister Act, and Sister Act 2 is of course iconic for Catholics.

And these days, Whoopi has set a new record co-hosting The View for 18 consecutive seasons.

That's more than any other host, including its founder, Barbara Walters.

Jim, how did you meet the famous Whoopi Goldberg?

Well, I knew of her. And actually, even before she was in film, this is stretching people's memories.
