series in first Peter called I Am an Alien, and it's all about our identity in Christ.

Pastor JD's been explaining that, as Christians, we're supposed to be different from the world around us.

We are outsiders, and in fact, the Bible actually calls us aliens.

But what does that look like, practically speaking?

First Peter 2.9 specifically is the verse we're going to be looking at. That

in the verses right there following. The question that we're going to address today is what role

the church should have, or ought to have in the world. I recently read a copy of a book that my

BFF Tim Keller is releasing in the book. He gives four different attitudes that Christians have when

it comes toward culture and politics. Here they are. Number one, he said, first of all, we've got
