with elaborate rituals and protective gems.

And her followers believed her.

They sought to obey her every command in order to advance their spiritual growth,

whether that meant shutting out their families, leaving their spouses,

or even ending their lives. As I waded into the mysterious

world of Terry Hoffman, I found that it was darker, eerier, and more twisted than I could have ever
