Now like, hey, I forgot it's Wednesday. So here we are. I'm going to help you through the rest of the week.

Listen, let's be honest.

It's been a disappointing year.

That's not necessarily all on the fact that, you know, our staff and

players aren't given their best effort. I believe they are. I had some serious injuries this

year, but the reality of it is is that we still had our opportunities. And, you know, the season

is not over by any stretch of the imagination. We can still get hot here late, but competition,

arguably the most difficult part of our schedule,

save a road trip to Arkansas, is in front of us.

Big news yesterday, long awaited confirmation

that Florida starter Hunter Barco, their ace pitcher,

done for the year.

There has been a rash of that this year.

It really has been. And we've been hit particularly hard, but our problems are not unique.

Unfortunately, it's part of the game. And that's the thing, too, when it comes to sports,

you know, because it's a journey, right? It's not just about a game or a stretch of games. It's about the totality

of a season. Injuries are part of the game. Injuries are part of the season. And unfortunately,

we have not had enough depth to overcome those injuries. And that's something we've got to address.

It is. I do expect Mississippi State to be very active in a transfer portal this year.
