All right, this is Handel on the Law, marginal legal advice, where I tell you, you have absolutely no case.

All right, let's go back, five months ago, give or take, January, when Jeff Sessions was testifying in front of the Senate for his attorney general nomination.

At one point during the hearing, Richard Shelby, a senator, a good friend of Sessions, a Republican, said, I think it's Alabama, said that Sessions' history of

treating all Americans equally under the law is clear and well documented.

Well, if nothing else, Sessions doesn't have a big reputation for, for example, voting right

laws, LGBT rights.

So there was an activist, a Code Pink activist, Desiree Faroo,

said as soon as Shelby said that, she just started laughing out loud. I mean, just started laughing.

And police moved into arrest her, Capitol Police, seeing her laugh as disruptive.

And they went ahead and charged her.

The federal prosecutors pursued the charges, arguing the laugh amounted to willful, disorderly, and disruptive conduct,

intending to impede, disrupt, and disturb the orderly conduct of congressional proceedings.

Now, she said the laugh was just reflective.

I mean, she didn't say, wait a second, I didn't intend to disrupt anything.

I mean, I just started laughing because I couldn't control myself.

And so she was taken to the jury.

Now, keep in mind that the next part of this story is kind of important.

And that is when the Capitol Police tried to remove her and did remove her from the hearings for the laughing,

she began to loudly protest and appeared to hold up a sign
