her family moved to London. A little older, by 1923, Janet was working inside the home of Frederick

and Doreen Baker, taking care of their newborn daughter. Frederick, who ran an import-export

business, eventually moved his family, first to Paris and then to Vancouver, and along with them came their young and trusted nursemaid.
