first place, Tim? Because you was in the military, wasn't you? I was. First, thanks for having me on,

Sean. I really been looking forward to this. So I appreciate it. Yeah, in 1987, I was a cadet at the

United States Air Force Academy. And I had been a Christian for less than a year at that point I became a Christian

in November of 1986 and from that point of becoming a Christian I'd started to read

voraciously through scripture and eventually made my way to Revelation 13 read the book of

Revelation I don't know two or three times then finally I just asked the Lord one afternoon.

I said, what is this talking about in Revelation 13?

So Revelation 13 has two beasts in the chapter

and then a name calculation at the end of the chapter.

And I was reading about that strange imagery,

particularly of that first beast, which is described as a beast that feet like a bearer, body like a leopard, mouth like the mouth of a lion.

It says that this dragon gives this beast, his power, thrown, and great authority.

In the prior chapter, Revelation 12, it tells us that's a fiery red dragon, and it's also identified explicitly as the devil as Satan himself

and is the serpent who deceived Eve in the Garden of Eden, Revelation 12. So this dragon, the devil,

is giving this beast, his power with a throne and great authority and I'm saying to the Lord,

okay, what is this? There's no such thing in nature, right? Is this going to be some sci-fi-like

Cameric hybrid that comes along at some point or, you know, what is this, right? Is this going to be some sci-fi-like Camaric hybrid that comes along at some point?

Or, you know, what is this, right? Because I was convinced at that point that scripture was literal,

that it was literally true and it was meant to be taken literally. But here's something that you can't

really take literally, I thought. And so I'm saying, okay, God, would you please show me who and what is being

spoken of here and of course at that point in my life one of my least favorite subjects of

...
