Hopefully we will find some time to return to the tale of NHS shortages, warnings from health leaders

that things could be about to get very, very ugly. Of course, they already have, not for reasons

of shortage necessarily, but in Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, 40 years of

harm, 40 years of misery and toxic culture causing havoc and death in a

maternity unit where 42 babies died. More on that, as Nick quite rightly observed, at any normal time,

that would be at the top of the news agenda, but general elections do strange things to a country.

Rarely quite as strange as what was seen from the official conservative party Twitter account last night where they essentially went full

George Orwell and launched the Ministry of Truth temporarily on social media, all of which

makes the whole picture rather grim. I did that on purpose makes the whole picture

bum bum bum rather grim
