It has been less than a week since the U.S. removed Venezuela's longtime leader Nicolas

Maduro from power and arrested him in the middle of the night that set in motion a rapid

fire series of events with reverberations across the globe. We turn our attention today to the

transfer of power to Maduro's vice president, Desi Rodriguez. On Monday, she was sworn in as the

country's leader. Rodriguez was solemn in tone as she pledged to guide Venezuela through these uncertain times.

Her appointment was sudden, but she's long held a place of power in Venezuela with a purpose

that is personal for her.
