That is the sound of a house warming party that we held here in our new home on the street

that we've moved into a few doors down from Tim and Hannah.

On this podcast we'll be chatting about how that initial outreach event went

and we'll be doing that in the company of Laura and Hannah who will be talking

about how they became Christians and how they came to be part of this burgeoning

missional community. No Mad X Nomad Extra

So on this edition of Nomad Extra, we are taking the opportunity to get to know Laura and Hannah a little bit better.

Laura, could we start by asking you how you became a Christian, please?

I've been to church all my life, really.

My dad's a Methodist minister.

So I sort of, I think I would have considered myself a Christian when I was a child.

When I sort of became a teenager, I just kind of wasn't really interested and I didn't

feel like it was for me and I wasn't sure that I believed it.

So I just kind of went and did my own thing really and I don't know, just perhaps got into

a lot of things that weren't good and when I got to about 16 sort of was in

the long-term relationship with someone who wasn't a Christian and I went to uni and when I was at

uni I bumped into some people from the Christian Union when I was on my way back to halls had

their tin of beans in one hand and some cigarettes in the other hand and um yeah i think

they weren't quite sure to make for me because i kind of knew quite a lot about church but i just wasn't

really interested so they tried to get me to come along to something um and uh i really wasn't planning

and going and then on the night i just thought I'll just go and see what it's
