Hey everyone. This is Dorenda. I am so glad you joined me today. I have a very special guest. I have my daughter, Brittany, who is the oldest of our eight kids, here with me

today to talk about her experience, homeschooling, and her perspective on homeschooling as an adult.

Now, Brittany is pregnant with her fourth baby, so we just got kids down for naps and had a cup of

coffee, and we are ready to share our hearts with you.

But before we do that, you may be a new listener and might not even know who I am, but I'm married to Daryl, and we've almost been married for 30 years.

We have eight kids, ages 14 to 28.

We have our sixth grandbaby on the way, the end of June, and we've been homeschooling

for over 23 years. A few years ago, I wrote a book called The Unhurried Home Schooler, and you can

find that on Amazon, but it is a simple, mercifully short book on homeschooling, where I just share

our experience as a family when it comes to homeschooling.

Also, if you are going to the FPEA conference in Orlando, Florida, May 24th to the 26th, I will be there.

And I would be super honored to meet you, to hug your neck, to get to know you a little bit.

But I'll be doing five sessions there in Orlando. And I will also be doing three sessions at NCHE in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

That's May 31st and June 1st. And the really funny thing is, as soon as I finish

my last session that day, I go to another room and we watch our sixth child graduate from high

school. So we are super excited about that. I would love to see you there if you live in the area

and can make it to these conferences, they can be a real encouragement.

So I'm going to introduce you to my daughter, Brittany, who's 28, as you already know.

And like I said before, pregnant with her fourth, about, you're getting close to seven months already, aren't you?
