inspired by actually a mailbag question that we got in last mailbag, which was earlier this year,

about what's going on with gay male pop stars? We have Chapel Rhone, we have Billy Isis,

we have all these female queer superstars, and yet so few queer men seem to be grabbing hold of the zeitgeist, despite queer

men being the number one pop fan base in many ways. So in order to research that question, both from

a contemporary perspective and to look back at the history of queer male pop stars, I invited, of course,

none other than USC's Jason King on to help educate

us all and try to get to the bottom of the question, where are all the queer male pop stars?
