Today's topic is a little weird.

Like so many other topics, it's like, oh, here's a fun story of my weekend.

It like perfectly and flawlessly forces us into this conversation. But like this topic is not light.

No. You know what I mean? The word itself gives me acid reflux. I think it's interesting

because when we decided on the topic for today's

episode, I started realizing that I've heard that word a million times. Like if you are a millennial

or whatever, the word narcissist or narcissism is just like part of your regular vernacular.

You know what I mean? But I was like, I nerded out and I was like,

all right, I'm going to look at the history of this word. And this word wasn't really made,

at least in English, until the 19th century, even though the origins of the word come from like

Greek mythology. Do you know, do you know the story of like where the word narcissist came from?

I don't know word for word, the history. So do enlighten me, please. Oh my God, here. I'm going to enlighten you

with my Wikipedia research. So the term narcissist comes from this Greek myth about this guy

called narcissist or not a Cisos. I don't know how they pronounce it in Greek guy called Narcissus or Narcissos. I don't know how they

pronounce it in Greek. So Narcissus was this like hot ass hunter. Like this motherfucker was so

fucking hot and everyone wanted to tap his ass. I love that. Sorry. I don't know. This is how I should

teach Greek mythology in college.

This sounds like the classic description of a narcissist, though.
