Wanting to do the right thing as a parent is a good desire, but when you focus on trying to be the perfect mom or dad,

between you and your wife Heather who do you think has struggled more with trying to be the perfect parent?

And before you speak, you're the guy with the degrees, the counseling, you've got the knowledge

base, but do you struggle more than her?

I would say, I think we each struggle, we both struggle. you struggle with

we both struggle with with our own versions of perfectionism right?

She's more about the black and white moments need to be perfect and and she to be the perfect mom. I've heard her say,

I'm just not doing it right or I'm failing as a mom and it's a black or white pass or fail.

And for me I've noticed sometimes the sneaking in of this fear of

failing or this needing to gain approval through what I'm doing and I notice

that sometimes sneak in and we just have to be really

aware of where perfectionism sneaks in because I think there's a root to pridefulness

in there and we don't need that we can just we can just be imperfect

because then love can come out and it's a great reminder right now even talking about

it that I think we all have an ounce of struggle with perfectionism and certainly seen it in my own life.

Well, I can identify with the way you described it in your family.
