Now for today's episode, I'm bringing in a very special guest and we are going to be talking about a topic that I think is really important.

Our topic today is what to do when you bif the carol reading and feel mortified. So my special

guest today is Alexandra Franzen who is author of the book you're going to

survive. Welcome Alex. Thanks for having me. I love Tara. I love you and I'm so

happy to do this show with you. I am delighted to have you here and I think this is a

really important subject because so many

car readers at some point they're going to have a situation where they really

goof up a terrible reading

and i think this is information that could be universal for any time we goof something up and we feel

terrible about it so before we even begin diving into the topic let's talk

for a moment about your new book. What was the inspiration for you're going to survive?

Well, the book you're going to survive was really inspired by a specific experience that I had while I was helping my boyfriend

to open a restaurant here in Portland, Oregon, where we live.

It was, basically it was the day that we got our very first extremely negative yelp review.

And I remember going online, back then I used to read our reviews really obsessively and I saw this awful yelper view and the customer just I mean they

really just hated us like they hated the food they thought it was overpriced they hated

the plate where their kids didn't like it. I mean just on and on and on and

that experience first of all you know of course really hurt it's never fun to

get negative criticism or to feel like, man, I really screwed up.
