People love their freedom of speech.

Sadly, their actions demonstrate a serious lack of understanding of both their freedom of speech

and the First Amendment. Hello, there are everyday Americans. Paul Engel here with the Constitution

study, where we read and study the Constitution, teach the rising generation be free. Glad you could

join me today. It's an interesting topic. It's, you know, the First Amendment is one I often see misquoted, misused, misunderstood, especially in the legal system.

But I want to look at these ideas, both freedom of speech and freedom of press, because there is a difference,

and both of them seem to be sadly misunderstood by so many Americans.

So let's take a look at some news.

Starting with a demonstration outside of Philadelphia City Hall.

Until we have done everything in our power to bring the United States to its knees,

let us not lose sight of the enemy.

For every U.S. military base that crumbles, and for every U.S. son who returns home in the

casket, we cheer.

Now, the title of the article I saw, because it says,

Appalling video shows protesters cheer American troops returning home from Warnerack in Caskets.

And yeah, I know a lot of people would be appalled at that.

But you know what?

Freedom of speech is not to protect the speech we all agree with.

Freedom of speech is to protect the speech we all agree with. Freedom of speech is to protect the

speech we detest, what we would find appalling. And it's important. It's important for certain reasons,
