Folks, we are facing, and everybody is saying it over and over again,

one of the most important elections of our time.

And I went back and I took a look, and yes, it is a very important election,

but that's not what bothered me.

What disturbed me was that as a former teacher,

civics has not been taught in our schools for so long that most of our young families,

young parents have no idea what the election is, what it's about, how the makeup of an election actually functions,

and where does it come from, and who's in charge, and what's going on?

So I have asked Carol Dunaway, who is the supervisor of elections in my county, Jackson County, who I might add has done an amazing

job cleaning up our voter rolls and election office and procedures. And I'm saying that coming
