but Bob Lapine says it's more than just a philosophical theory.

If you don't believe in the Providence of God, your soul is programmed for misery.

But believing in the Providence of God is the great comfort for our soul.

I don't know what kind of difficulty you may be facing right now.

Maybe it's physical or emotional or relational or financial, something in your workplace.

Regardless, today's program is for you.

Now, it's possible, I don't think this is probably true of very many

people, but maybe at this very moment your life is all, you know, daffodils and butterflies. Well,

let me say, if that's true of you, today's program is for you as well, because the fact is

hard times, storms will come at some point. You've been through

them before and you'll go through them again. As one poet famously put it into each life, some

rain must fall. Some days must be dark and dreary. And it's not just the poet who said it.

The Word of God teaches us that

as well. Now yesterday on Revive Our Hearts, Bob Lapine acknowledged the reality of suffering

and pain in all of our lives. He took us to Psalm 103, and you may want to turn there in your Bible

right now. He took us to that passage to remind us of God's providential care over all of the universe,

and that includes you and me.
