So on October 15th, 2021, in Bolton, Vermont, which was a pretty small town, population 5,000.

There was a lot of mountains and valleys,

and usually if you were the type of person that wanted to retire out into nature, you would

move out to Bolton to do that. But on this night is when local police would receive a phone call

from a very concerned father, reporting his daughter, 22-year-old Emily Furlazo missing. He claims that the last time

Emily was seen was the night before when her and her husband, Joseph, went down to Bolton,

Vermont, to celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary in their camper. But this was also another

special occasion because this would have been the first time that Emily officially

met Joseph's family. 42-year-old Joseph Verlazzo was born in Pennsylvania but later moved to

Vermont, where he was now a full-time tattoo artist and had a small studio set up in a friend's house.

Emily and Joseph had met in Vermont and about a year into dating is when they

decided to pack up all their things in Vermont and move to New Hampshire to live with Emily's

parents. And within Emily and Joseph's relationship, they did get a lot of eyes on their relationship,

mostly because of their large age gap. Emily was 22 and Joseph was 42. And Emily was a very young,

loving, and hardworking young woman. She wanted to dedicate her life to helping people.
