Ladies and your listeners, this is Jonah Goldberg, host of the Remnant podcast, brought

This is one of these very rare times where I'm actually re-recording the intro. So you're going to miss some of the

witty banter and badinage I had with today's guest. But I just wanted to let listeners know,

because I know for a fact that many listeners listen with kids in the car. It's not so much

that we touch on controversial issues, which we do. But we also use a lot of scientifically accurate terminology for various

body parts that some people may not want to hear themselves or may not want to hear around

small children or whatever. So I just thought I should let people know. I don't think we need

an explicit warning. There's no cursing or anything like that.

But there was some frank talk, and I just thought I should let people know.

So with that said, today's guess is Carol Hoeven.

I get a lot of feedback from listeners saying that we should talk about transgender stuff more.

And quite a few people said I should talk to her.

Turns out that not long ago she became a colleague of mine.

She's an adjunct fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. She was a professor at Harvard of evolutionary biology for a very long time.

She famously left Harvard for complicated reasons having to do with sort of the politics of transgender stuff

and her scientific views. I'll let her talk about

all of that and put links to things in the show notes about all of that. And she's the author of

a book, T, the story of testosterone, the hormone that dominates and divides us. Carol, welcome to
