Well, hello there. It's Morgan Harper Nichols here and welcome to part two of a series that I'm doing on what to do when encouraging words feel cliche.

0:14.3

So this is a part of an illustrated series that I did and I shared it on social media and I will put it in the show

0:22.3

notes if you would like to see it where I put two frames side by side and I showed what a

0:29.7

phrase sounds like and then what it feels like. So yesterday I talked about embracing the process

0:36.4

what it sounds like versus what it feels like.

0:40.1

And today I'm going to be unpacking the phrase small progress is still progress,

0:46.7

what it sounds like versus what it feels like.

1:30.6

how that's applicable in my life. So as I mentioned, what I'm talking about today specifically is this

1:39.6

phrase, small progress is still progress. This is something that has shown up in a lot of my work. And I

1:46.7

write about this concept quite a bit because it's something that I've had to learn and am still

1:54.0

learning in my life. So as I mentioned, there are two frames. And this first frame of what it sounds like,

2:01.5

what small progress is still progress,

2:04.2

I illustrated it as like a stick figure just climbing

2:09.5

a set of stairs.

2:11.9

And one thing that's very specific about this image

2:15.2

that I illustrated was each stair, each step that the stick figure is
