1:39.6	background in terms of set the stage for us. Your background, where are you from, where did you train,
1:44.6	and how did it come to the point where we're sitting here talking today?
1:48.1	I'm originally from upstate New York, moved out to Ohio to go to law school.
1:52.7	When I was in law school, I interviewed with a law firm that was exclusively medical
1:57.3	malpractice defense.
1:59.2	Their headquarters were in Cleveland, and I got a job clerking there in
2:03.2	1991 and absolutely fell in love with medicine. They were very adept at teaching us medicine
2:09.7	and having resources available. And actually, I became at one point in time the youngest lawyer
2:15.7	to handle any defense cases for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
