You go out there, you got to carry buckets of water to all the chicken pants.

I was talking about farming in general at one point in your life when you were out farming a good bit.

And your bag of bonding seemed like throughout Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina.

My first one, after I school, I went to Joel Salatins at 19. I just turned 19. I think when I moved there,

and people, I think it was, of, yeah, when I was 19. And I get there, and I wasn't really,

I was just going there because that was an adventure. Instead of going to college, my stepdad,

it's like, you can go to college anytime. So I go there, didn't know what to expect.

Well, how'd you meet him at first? So I met him, I went, my mom and stepdad. We live in a mobile home

for most of my teenage years. And for the last half of my teenage years, and going on a little

piece of land in Clayton, North Carolina. And my family didn't make a lot of money.

So they were always trying to save money that we couldn't grow our own food, stuff like that.

So Joel had this book called, Bastard, poultry profits. So my stepdad and mom read it.

They go, we're going up to Virginia, driving up there from Rawling, North Carolina. You want to go?

Okay, I went up there, and I don't remember much about it, except that Joel South.

My stepdad is his huge guy. It's like six foot seven, two hundred eight pounds. He's not afraid of

anybody. But we drove up there in our van and went on the like pasture where Joel doesn't like

anybody to destroy his grass. Yeah. And Joel came flying out of a house like he was going to

beat up my stepdad. And it's like, get off the grass. And my stepdad, like I said, is not
