When the topic of the show involves one of the most successful coaches in world football,

one of the biggest and most successful teams in Europe,

and one of the biggest most successful national teams in history, it probably requires a deeper look. And that's what we're doing today.

After a turbulent season in Spain, Carlo Encelotti is departing around Madrid to become the latest

name manager to coach a national team. And it's not just any national team. It's Brazil. He

becomes their first non-Brazilian manager in the modern era and goes from a situation trying to manage big names like Venetius Rodriguez-Rodrigo to a situation in which he's trying to manage big names like Venetius Rodrigo andrick. How did we get here? How rough are Brazil at present? And what's the reaction been in the country later on in the episode? We'll be joined by the athletics, Jack Lang, to answer at least a couple of those questions. But we'll also take a look at Round Madrid's present position, the most likely named to take over, and the work that needs to be done to ensure the next season is brighter than the last. It's just a great bit. I'm imagining them doing like a long, really like extensive goodbye. There's tears. There's all. I mean, just the whole nine yards. And then they go and it's, oh, wait, this guy? Wait, I just, we just did the whole thing. Okay. Yeah, that's fine. Whatever. It sounds like instead of tears and hugs goodbyes, it might have been Rodrigo with like a double bird salute walking out of the locker room and then looking at his phone and being like, oh no. I have made a mistake. Hey, Carlo, my bad, dude. Sorry. My fault. My blunder. Rounding out a crew, a man who has somehow not yet spoken.

He was confident that the only thing Raimodrid needs is a great manager and a lot of new defenders and maybe a few midfielders. It's Graham Ruffin. Hi, Graham. Hello, Taylor Rockwell. Yes. And another brains of the operation, because of course they're losing Davy, Dan Chalotti as well, who has been the puppet master for the last few years, as we all know.

And so it's not just the raised eyebrow that

they're that they're losing although that isn't that is important and that was top of

Brazil's criteria it was between Arnchalotti and the rock they were also considering him for the role

take John's dad yeah um so that's where we're at.

Graham, I saw that Davidae Ancelati is leaving around Madrid.

He is not going with his father.

He's going to pursue other options, see what other club opportunities there are out there.

And then the little addendum, and if nothing else presents itself, he'll join back up with

his father in Brazil.
