Every year, thousands of people flock to the French Riviera to watch movies, make movie

deals, and see their favorite movie stars.

At this year's 76th Cannes Film Festival, several of the industry's most acclaimed directors

premiered their highly anticipated films.

Among the titles this year are Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon and Wes Anderson's

Asteroid City.

The festival is also unfolding amid a backdrop of social and political unrest in France, and

a Hollywood writer's strike now in its third week.

So how are critics responding to the films showing in Cannes?
