Summary

Why Sales Drop during the Summer and What to do about it

Hey CEO Teachers! I see you, wanting to kick off your shoes, dip that one big toe in the water, and enjoy that long overdo beach day as you bask in the piercing rays of the summer sun. Then I see you checking your Teachers pay Teachers dashboard and *GASP* the anxiety sets in. There’s been a drop in sales! What is going on?! Why did your sales drop? Does this sound familiar? I’ve been there, too, and, honestly, I’m no longer surprised. Unfortunately, the “Summers Sales Slump” is a real thing and, fortunately, it’s normal and predictable. And the good news is: you don’t have to think of the summer sales slump as the summer sales drop any longer. That’s why today we’re bringing back one of your favorite guests. She is going to change your mindset and give you the action steps you need to turn your sales drop into your sales harvest. Friends, it is my pleasure to bring back on the podcast one of our amazing team members here at The CEO Teacher podcast — Allie Elliott.

Plan to Grow: what to do when sales drop and how to turn the sales dip into the sales harvest

In our community, we hear a lot about the summer sales slump when it comes to selling online. And Allie is the expert you need to hear from. For those of you who don’t know her, Allie Elliott is a teacher, entrepreneur, traveler, and member of Team Kayse. She has taught abroad for over five years and she helps upper elementary teachers transform their classes from strangers to family as the Classroom Community Copilot. She is also the Integrator here at Team Kayse and she has a LOT of experience when it comes to managing the summer sales drop. We cover a lot of ground in this conversation, but most of all, Allie is also going to give you gobs of goodies on what to do when the summer sales drop occurs. By the end, you might even start to see that summer is, indeed, the time to shine. So relax, put your air-pods in, lay back in your hammock, and listen to this episode to learn how summertime can lead to a flourishing harvest.

In this episode, you will learn:

  • Why sales drop and what to do when sales drop, specifically by using your Pinterest and Instagram accounts
  • How planning and posting three months ahead can counter the summer drop in sales
  • Why focusing on one ICA and your one thing will lead to your business thriving exponentially when school is back in session
  • Three questions that you can ask to make sure your TpT store is on target, on track, and primed for sales this Fall
  • How to enhance your TpT descriptions
  • How to review all of your marketing space, including your TpT cover art
