0:22.0	For most of us they lot of memories.
0:22.8	For most of us, they are fond memories of being with family or being at home,
0:28.1	being a kid and receiving Christmas gifts.
0:31.6	My parents were the kind of people who saved up through the year so they could buy us some
0:36.7	sort of special gift every Christmas.
0:40.1	Some years we got more and some years we got less, But now as a parent I realize that the reason that they
0:46.9	sacrificed is because they got so much joy from our
0:54.0	I remember being a kid, I don't know,
0:56.0	I was somewhere around 10, 11, 12 years old,
0:59.0	and I remember going shopping with my dad
1:02.0	when he was looking for a Christmas gift for my mom. It was
1:05.7	pretty stressful because even at that age I had a better sense of what my mom would
1:11.6	like than my dad did. He may have very well had the
1:16.4	right heart. He may very well wanted to do the right thing, but in a lot of ways
1:21.0	he was really clueless about what she wanted.
1:24.7	When he would give her a gift, it didn't always lead to the response that he had hoped for.
1:30.6	I remember shopping for one particular Christmas. I was out with my dad in a mall and for some reason he decided to get my mom a pasta maker.
