We're picking up with day 12 of our 21 days of discipleship devotional.

The scripture is 2 Corinthians, chapter 5, verse 7, and it says this,

for we live by believing and not by seeing.

The devotional is titled, what if nothing makes sense?

And it says this, today we get to see Jesus as king.

He is anointed by Mary and led into the city on the back of a donkey.

The people shout his praise, lay down their cloaks for the donkey to walk on, a sign of

serious reverence, and declare Jesus king of Israel.

All of this is super exciting.

Disciples are caught up in the activity, but admittedly confused that Jesus is participating.

He had previously refused all of this kind of attention.

In a moment of vulnerability, John shares with us his readers, saying this in John 12
