In the last three days, Israel has destroyed Syria's army and naval facilities.

Israel has carried out more than 480 military strikes on Syria during that time.

The United States government has worked for the last 15 years to topple the government of Syria.

Today we're going to talk about Syria, the Middle East, what comes next, and of course, what comes next for the people of Gaza.

Layan, everything has changed and it's been very dramatic, very rapid.

We have a lot to talk about.

I want to talk about the situation on the ground in Syria, what's happening.

Of course, there are big crowds celebrating the fall of the old Syrian government, the Assad government.

And yet there are, at the same time, large numbers of people

who are very scared. There are massacres going on. There are executions. The Israeli government

is taking advantage of the moment to strike Syrian naval and army facilities. As a matter of

fact, Netanyahu claimed credit for the toppling of the Syrian government.

As I said in the introduction, the U.S. has been trying to topple this government for 15 years.

Anyway, we have a lot to talk about, and I also want to put it into the context of the history of Syria, the history of the Middle East.
