0:40.2	advisor, confidant colleague Jeff Woods, vice president of the one thing. I go back to Jeff
0:47.3	over and over again because Jeff has, well, a perspective on empire building that I find
0:53.6	very, very helpful and useful. And so today,
0:56.7	we talk about crafting the empire and recruiting people to build the empire on your behalf. What I have
1:04.0	found in my own life and with the entrepreneurs that I work with is that a lot of us get to the
1:09.7	million or sometimes even the 10 million by following a strategy,
1:14.2	by pursuing the money. But we very rarely build a business, build an empire bigger than ourselves,
1:22.0	without graduating to a different level of thinking. And that level of thinking, as Jeff would put it,
1:27.7	means succeeding through others. It means getting people to buy into something and build it on your
1:33.9	behalf. Now, this is something that I've very openly struggled with of building and managing a team.
1:39.5	I'm probably ahead of a lot of my peers, but I have not yet built the empire that I ultimately
1:45.4	want, and it's even a struggle for me to learn how to cast the vision and bring the people on.
1:52.2	And it's a skill set that I've really had to work hard at doing, and I learned by mistakes,
1:57.6	and boy, I made a lot of them.
1:59.0	And Jeff and I have had many conversations at the gym or over wine or hanging out at each other's houses talking about this. And he has
