Hello, everybody. This is episode 30 extended. And this week on the main episode, we talked to Tim Hendrix about tattoo schools and apprenticeships and his opinions on why we shouldn't just quite yet count out the more traditional ways of learning

the tattoo. At the end of that episode, I shared a small clip of a conversation I had with

tattooer Olivia Brits Wheat, who is from Portland, Oregon. Not only is she a tattooer, but she

is part of an organization called Reform Oregon Tattooing

that is more or less a resource, an advocacy group. They're just trying to help people navigate

through the system that Oregon has set up for tattooers. There, the state mandates that all

people learning the tattoo attend tattoo schools. I've never heard of this anywhere else in the entire world.

crazy system to me because it just feels so different than my own experience. So I'll play for you
