1:07.2	The kind of one-dimensional caricature that Christopher Columbus has become.
1:12.1	What's really remarkable about is, at one time in American history, Columbus kind of became
1:17.9	this universal symbol of America, even though he wasn't really an American proper, obviously
1:24.1	his discovery of the new world happened long before the United States even existed.
1:28.7	Christopher Columbus really became a universal symbol in the United States for the new world,
1:33.8	for what this country was, for immigrants, for immigration, even though he, again, he
1:38.4	wasn't really an immigrant, but he stood, I think, for many of those who came to the new
1:42.9	world thereafter.
