From the land of the free and the home of the chiefs, this is the

locked on chiefs podcast. Welcome back to lockdown chiefs. This is going to be a

fun one. We're a day delayed on our weekly discussion with Matt Beric from Chief's digest

so we're going to get into that we have a little bit of news to hit before

that happens and I want to get into really where we're at at this point in the off season. I'm Ryan Tracy the

founder of Rogue Analytics and you're hosted RGR football and a couple of

pieces of news that came down. The chiefs were in, had a couple of veteran free agents in for visits.

Quon Williams as well as Melvin Ingram were both in town.

Both have left town without signing contracts.

Williams went back to his old team in much of a flashback of the

Trent Williams deal where heavy negotiations, what looked like a solid deal money-wise,

and ended up signing for, I I think more money than the chiefs not

only did or should have offered. Clearly as the numbers come out when people do

leave Kansas City and sign elsewhere, it leaves me with a growing feeling of

happiness at the contracts that they're getting.

Now, Melvin Ingram was supposedly in town and didn't hear a positive or negative, but the fact that left town without a contract, and specifically

the report was that it was due to the terms to the money and the dollars and

cents that it came down to in trying to acquire a pass-resture that the chiefs

know and have had their issues with in the past when he was playing for the

opposition.

Now that again leads into my general feeling right now

is that the chiefs have gone after some free agents that I think are serious.
