James announced that she has filed a lawsuit against the NRA as of Thursday alleging that the leaders of the National

Gun Rights Organization have violated state laws that govern non-profits and have used the financial

resources of the 501c3 for personal expenses.

The suit was announced during a press conference Thursday per the Hill.

fostered a culture of noncompliance in disregard for internal controls that led to the waste and loss of millions

NRA President Carolyn Meadows responded to the lawsuit in a statement saying, this was a baseless premeditated attack on our organization and the Second Amendment freedoms it fights to defend.
