a limited amount of Friday shows until the midterms to bring attention to as many essential

races and issues as possible. So we will be Tuesdays and Fridays until November 8th when

I plan to celebrate, sleep, and then go back to a once a week schedule. Every vote, every

voice, every dollar counts right now. I hope you'll join us as we fight for America.

Hello and welcome to the Politics Girl podcast. I'm your host, Lee McGowan. Let's get into it.

This is possibly one of our last episodes before the midterms. And I hope you not only have a

planned vote or have already voted, but you've convinced other people in your life to do so as well.

This is not your father's midterms. This is not the time for low turnout or disinterest or

platitudes like the party in power always loses seats. This election could quite possibly decide

our fate as a nation. Are we a country who will fight for democracy, truth, and freedom?

Or are we like many other nations in the world to apathetic to realize we have to save those

things before they are taken from us? Will we allow ourselves to be outmaneuvered by anti-democratic

forces who want nothing more than for us to conform to the whims of a small, violent, vocal minority?

Or do we, as the majority voice in this country, stand up and say no. You've gone too far and we

will defeat you up and down the ticket to prove it. With that in mind, today's pod is a candid
