0:14.0	We have a special guest for you today Dr Lamar Hardwick.
0:18.0	He's the lead pastor of TriCities Church in Atlanta, Georgia,
0:21.0	and he's also known as the autism pastor, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder at the age of 36.
0:26.6	Dr. Hardwick's a compelling advocate and teacher, and I think you're really
0:30.1	going to enjoy his keen to talk about prayer.
0:41.3	There's a story about a little boy who wanted to get a new bike for Christmas. And so rather than praying to Santa for a new bike. And so rather than praying to Santa for a new bike, he decided he would write a letter
0:47.2	to Jesus to ask him for a new bike.
0:50.2	And so he sat down and began to write his letter letter and he began the letter by saying, Jesus,
0:56.5	if I am good and behave for six weeks straight, would you please give me a new bike?
1:05.0	Well, the little boy thought about it and realized six weeks is a long time.
1:10.0	I'm not sure that I can behave for six weeks straight so he tore that letter up and
1:14.7	begin to write the letter again. Jesus if I'm good and if I behave for four weeks
1:20.8	straight would you please give me a new bike for Christmas?
1:24.0	A little boy thought about it again and realized four weeks is also a long time.
1:29.6	I'm not sure that I can be perfect for four weeks. So we tore that letter up and started over again this time
1:36.7	writing Jesus, if I'm good for just one whole week, would you please bring me a new bike?
1:46.3	And he thought about it and said,
1:48.6	you know, a week is also a really long time for me.
1:51.2	I'm not sure that I can do it it so he tore that letter up as well.
