Thank you with me and I'm following up today on last week's podcast in which I covered the

preamble to the Republican Party's new platform.

And if my research is correct,

previously there wasn't really a preamble to the Party's platform.

So this is a new thing and as I explained last

week I think it's very important and it has in my mind serious humanistic would be a nice gentle word.

The pagan might be a better more appropriate biblical word for what's in that preamble. And so I ended last

week with saying so what are Christians to do and I want to feed today's podcast into the context of an article published this week in Washington

Stand by the Family Research Council and it and it contains many helpful

thoughts but as I read, I had some different thoughts, and I thought it would be appropriate to share them today in light of my promise to say so what do we do and to be honest as many of you would

know if you've followed this podcast for any period of time I've been rethinking a whole lot of things

that I thought I once knew about politics and I think this is a great opportunity

for Christians to sit down and rethink some things and perhaps turn to scriptures that we don't normally turn to

as we evaluate where do we go from here, having had a party that at one time wanted to see

abortion come to an end nationally and not be fought state to state, and that was now

the sanctity of marriage in terms of a man and a woman

and that was now abandoned.
