I'm surprised, I'm here, to be honest with you.

The weather's been so hot.

Yesterday, it was baking.

Oh, sorry, I forgot to tell you, it's Friday, just in case you wondering where we were.

It is Friday, it is the 26th, we have made it through,

what I think would possibly be described as a difficult week, you know, for everybody working within the media, but an even worse week for people in Manchester.

I spoke to a friend of mine yesterday. He said it's been a hell of a week up here.

And so I said, I know. And so he's taking himself off. He's going to Spain for a day.

I said, going to Spain for a day? He said, yeah. I said, what's the point of that? So he's coming down

on a train today to meet up with somebody who works one of our sister stations and another person who works for another one of our sister stations. We always call them sister stations.

And then tomorrow, so he's staying overnight in London with one of these people.

And then tomorrow they're flying out to Spain and they're staying Saturday night and then they're flying back on Sunday.

What is the point of that?

I mean, that's a lot of packing just for one night.

You might as well just take a toothbrush stick it in your top pocket.

Bizarre, isn't it really?

But anyway, I suppose it's a nice break and gives them a chance

to sort of get away from everything at the moment.
