Jeff Gunther is better known to millions on TikTok as a therapy, Jeff.

Self-care can be problematic and this is why.

He began posting on TikTok in September of 2021.

I like a lot of people who are sort of just scrolling through TikTok for the last couple

of years bored, trying to pass the time during the pandemic.

During that time, he noticed many young people using TikTok and Instagram to share personal

stories dealing with mental health.

It inspired him to post too, and at therapy, Jeff was bored.

I was like, you know what, I feel like I know how TikTok works.

It was just sort of like, it was a challenge to myself just being like, I wonder if I can

make content that's useful and that people would enjoy.

He made a couple of posts, but they didn't capture a following.

But then the fourth piece of content was like, I'm going to give the people what they want.

And that one just went viral.
