legally a comedian. So by law I am entitled to weigh in on matters of comedy until my humour license expires anyway.

Right now, the big comedy issue du jour is Dave Chappelle and his special The Closer because it touches on all sorts of hot-button issues,

cancel culture, race relations, and transgender people. We're going to dive into all of that today with fellow comedian Jeff Maurer.

Now if you haven't seen the special, don't worry.

I'm not going to make you bluff your way through today's episode like you forgot to read Moby Dick

before English class.

You're still going to get plenty out of it even if you've not watched it.

A significant amount of the program consists of Jeff and I basically inviting you into the green room with us,

going behind the scene at the comedy club, so to speak,

so you can hear how we comedians determine whether something is offensive or not.

We're going to reveal to you the navigational skill set we employ to weave around that which is bigoted and towards that which is hilarious.

Quick caveat. We're also going to quote Dave Chappelle, probably plug in some clips from his Netflix special,

so you might hear content that is less family friendly than usual.
