Hey, smarty pants! Trust the narrator here with a quick guessing game.

I'm going to play some sounds, see if you can guess what they are.

Did you say birds? Nice.

Specifically, a hawk, a falcon, and an eagle. Right now, I'm standing outside a research observatory

that specializes in studying raptors.

No, not the Velasa Raptor from Jurassic Park. I'm talking raptors.

And in case you're not sure what a raptor is, a raptor is another name for a bird of prey.

Birds of prey are different than most other birds, and that they hunt and feed on other animals

such as fish, rabbits, rodents, lizards, and, believe it or not, other birds.

Whoa.

The observatory I'm at is one of dozens scattered around the US, Canada, and Central America,

specializing in gathering important information about raptors.

Like any good observatory, it's located near the top of a mountain where many of these

types of birds make their nests and hunt for food.

So, what birds are considered raptors? Where do they live? How good is their eyesight?

And is one of them really faster than a race car?
