We are live talking some Lakers basketball tonight.

I am Trevor Lane, happy to see you all here, joining from X, joining from Facebook,

Tonight I really want to focus in of what is it that the Lakers need.

What is this frosted, because we tend to get so caught up in who can they go get? Can they go get Tray? Can they get Lowry Marketing? Can they go get Donovan Mitchell? Is it somebody else that they need to go after? Is it more of a depth build? Is it Jonas Valenzhenius? Is it whoever else you want to throw out there, right? All the names. We get caught up in all the names.

Sometimes we need to take a step back and say, what is it that they need? And then build from there.

What are the things that this team actually needs to get? So we're going to talk a bit about that.

I also need to get into the latest comments from Austin Reeves

and whether or not he was maybe throwing a little bit of shade at Dervanham.

Or are we reading too much into it?

We're going to get into that too.

So a lot of stuff for us to get into tonight.

I know right now all of us we're on pins and needles we're

waiting to see if the lakers are going to announce who their new head coach is going to be if it's

going to be tomorrow if it's going to be actually after the finals and is it just j jriddick i know

that's that's kind of the next domino to fall right now.

And that's as we are progressing towards draft night, which is coming up in a few weeks. And even before that, we're going to have a lot of draft trade talks going on. The Lakers do have that 17th pick. Will they move it? Will they not? That's another big question mark that we're going to get answered in the next few weeks. we've got to find out what they're going to do in free agency, what kind of trades are they going to make, a lot of things that we're going to be dissecting. So right now we're just kind of in this limbo, right, where we're waiting, to find out who the coach is going to be. What moves will the team make? What moves will they not make? What are the decisions that are available to them?

So that's where we're at right now in the calendar. Right now, we're waiting to see what's going to happen next.

And again, it's probably going to be that coaching domino first. But a lot of times the NBA, they want this stuff to take place either before the finals or they want it to happen after the finals.
