It was an eventful weekend for players in the 49ers backfield.

A nine-time Pro Bowl player returned to the team, and a young promising player is on his way out.

The 49ers helped their salary cap situation and also picked up some draft capital for this year and the future with

the trade that sends Jordan Mason the team's leading Russia in 2024 to the Minnesota Vikings.

That move came on the same day that the 49ers and fullback Kyle Uscheck keeps their union

together for at least another season.

The new league year enters its second week and Jennifer Lee Chan and I press the reset

It was a great tenure he had with the team, eight seasons, eight Pro Bowls,

after he had one Pro Bowl season with the Ravens, kind of a fixture, face so long,

tears were shed, and now he comes back to the team
