And gestures really are a way that babies can indicate, oh, I'm starting to understand that we're sharing an experience together,

and we're thinking about the same thing. So when your baby starts to point,

maybe they point at a dog running by and your baby is indicating I understand that if I point to that dog because it's so cute and I'm excited that you're going to look and we're going to share attention around what we see or something that we do.

Some of you may or may not know that in a past life, prior to podcasting, I was a speech

language pathologist and so it made my heart so happy to have this fantastic

conversation with Stephanie Cohen about speech and language development. We talk about eating, talking verbal cues, nonverbal cues,

and is my kid on track?

Are they developing normally?

When do I need to get intervention?

And more than anything, I wanted to get intervention and more than anything I wanted to
