Welcome to this episode of the Hard Men Podcast. I am your host Eric Khan. And in today's

episode we have a very exciting subject matter.

We're going to be talking about biblical patriarchy.

Now this show has been long in the works.

I've been thinking about it ever since I did the show on

complimentarianism and in that previous episode of this podcast I offered my

critique of complimentarian theology, particularly as it was expounded by John Piper and

Wayne Grudham and recovering biblical manhood and womanhood.

So having critiqued their view,

which I would say really has become the default position

among many conservative evangelicals since its inception in say the late 1980s.

In this episode I want to lay out a basic outline of what I am proposing is a more robustly biblical alternative which is biblical patriarchy.

So first of all if you have not listened to the podcast episode on

Complementarianism yet I would encourage you to do that.

However, if you haven't listened to that, no big deal, I am going to go over the main points from that

episode real quick and then we'll jump into and I will tackle this issue of biblical patriarchy. So again we're going to begin today with a quick

recap of the issues that I have had with complementary and theology as

discussed in that episode and of course I'm not the only one. One of the things I want to do right off the bad if you haven't read it yet check out
