More than 40 million people have already voted, according to the United States election

project.

But many Americans are still planning to cast their ballots on election day.

Officers and poll workers alike are getting ready.

And for some, that means dealing with threats of violence.

According to the Brennan Center for Justice at the NYU School of Law, over half of election

workers surveyed say they fear for their safety and the safety of their colleagues.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the FBI have issued threat advisories, warning

of potential violence toward election officials and political figures.
