When Slater was in school, his teachers stopped teaching dates. Like, when Columbus sailed the ocean blue, when the Declaration of Independence was written, etc. Since the prevailing idea in education these days is America is inherently bad, a lot of us don't think about what an amazingly privilege being an American is. But is also means that even if you are proud of being an American, what does that mean? Slater has a hard time putting into words what being an American is about, so today's show is about one question: What is an American? Can you put into words what being an American is about? Mike throws the phone lines open. And Breitbart News London Bureau Chief Oliver Lane is following the Trump/Putin summit very closely. Europe is in a tizzy over not being invited to the soiree in Alaska, and Ukraine's Zelenskyy is pouting over not receiving an invitation. In true Trump fashion, he's out to make a deal.
